Which means that the child gets an infinite amount of chances to hand assignments in so that they won't get a Zero grade. Let me ask something...if I skip work, don't do my job properly and efficiently time and time again, will I be rewarded with a promotion? Will I get a raise and a pat on the back? Of course not...they'd can my incompetent, lazy ass in a heart beat and they'd be right to do so. We are preparing "our future" to be a bunch of lazy whiners who have been raised to celebrate mediocrity, not success. Whatever happened to pride in a job done well? I'll tell you. It was obliterated when people started cheering on their kids shouting "great job" when all they did was remember to zip up their fly. We keep creating new ways to make everyone feel good and have self esteem that we have forgotten that sometimes those things are earned with hard work and actual effort.

We are robbing our kids of pride and I personally think it's a form of abuse because the real world doesn't work that way. How ill prepared they're going to be for life. It's a cruel practice that needs to stop in schools and in homes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-15612134.post-78576032629565380532009-06-28T14:34:38.212-04:002009-06-28T14:34:38.212-04:00Remember that our non-discriminatory educations sy...Remember that our non-discriminatory educations system is now preparing students to become future nuclear operators, Doctors and airline pilots. How are we going to be able to qualify anyone at these positions when everybody passes? At what point do we start to be honest with people and tell them "not good enough"? Ah, no worries, everybody passes...KR_Ravennoreply@blogger.com
